Flower Prints

A selection of bordered floral and macro flower photographs now available as prints.

"Sensuality"

A closeup of a rose that will never fade. Several types of roses grow in my garden, including climbing, trailing, bush and traditional varieties. Because they are grown naturally, they are imperfect, but there is an additional beauty that I find in that. Here the roses bloom nearly year-round, providing a continuous display of colorful flowers, delightful scents, visiting butterflies and petals for decorating cakes and making a ruby-red rose syrup.

"Purple"

macro of raindrops on a red cabbage leaf. 2007 saw my first efforts to grow cabbage in my garden. While the yield was limited, this tasty photograph more than made up for it.

"Eye Candy II"

macro photograph of a candy-striped amaryllis flower. A gift from a friend in Alabama, a single bulb has spread into a delightful mass of these colorful flowers that bloom throughout the summer.

"Candy Trumpet"

"Gardenia I"

gardenia flower on a blue background. A favorite flower of a dear grandmother, the sweet scent from the gardenias carries across the yard when they bloom, nearly startling visitors and demanding that we stop for just a moment to delight in their delicate beauty.

"Southern Belle"

southern magnolia flower. Southern Magnolias made up my mother's wedding bouquet. Beautifully scented, and a delight on glossy green trees lining roadways and growing wild along the rivers, magnolias hold a special place in my heart.

"Frosted Azalea"

pink azalea flower covered with snow. An unusual sight as snow blanketed the New Orleans area in December of 2008.

"Burgundy"

burgundy daylily macro. Each day, throughout the summer, the daylily garden offers a variety of colors and sizes of these delightful flowers, each blooming for a single day.

"Amaryllis 1"

Amaryllis flower, black background version. A minimalist version of this popular photo of a candy-striped amaryllis.

"My Valentine"

Valentine's Day Card with photograph of a rose petal. It's not available as a print at this time, but I couldn't resist. :)
